The opposition Movement for Democratic Change in Zimbabwe has called for mass protests against the country's worsening economic crisis.
Inflation is now close to two hundred percent, a ten-year high and the United Nations has said about five million Zimbabweans are in need of aid.
The police have prohibited today's demonstrations, but “daily life has become so difficult for the Zimbabweans that they’ve decided to take a stand,” MDC politician and lawyer, Fadzayi Mahere, has told Media Newsday.
